My father was a lifelong knife collector, and when he passed away he entrusted the collection to me to sort, sell, and give special knives to the family. He instilled his love of knives in me, and we used them as gifts between us. I can't keep his entire collection, and many of his knives he's swapped or made sheaths for, engraved something on it, and discarded the packaging. However, he kept them all razor sharp and sometimes added knotted thongs to them, which was another hobby of his.

Some knives he has made, or simply bought a lovely blade and knotted a grip onto them with cording. Most of his handmade knives I am not selling, but some could use a new home.

If I don't have the original sheath with the knife, I can upon request go searching for where he put it. Many times he has replaced them with one he handmade himself or simply thought was prettier for the knife.

He especially loved utility knives, and blades with unusual shapes.

It's been memory lane looking through these knives, and sometimes I remember exactly when I saw them the first time and what he said about them. I guarantee these come from a home where they were valued.

I hope I can find these knives an excellent new home. Thank you for looking at them - they were very close to his heart, from the simplest little folding knives to vintage original Gil Hibben.
