Buyer Protection – What's Included

Payment via the Escrow Service

With the KnifeMarket Escrow Service, your payment is held safely until your order is delivered and you have time to inspect it. After delivery, your money stays in escrow for 7 days. During this time, you have 5 calendar days after delivery to report an issue through our Returns & Disputes protection.

If everything is OK, or if no return or dispute is opened in time, the payout will be released to the Seller.

Proof of Ownership

Verified Listings: Every time a new listing is posted, we ask the seller to send us a photo of their knife, next to the randomly generated code they receive from us. This assures us that the seller has the knife in their possession, which gives you confidence that the knife you intend to purchase will be delivered as expected.

Approved Sellers: To sell on KnifeMarket, sellers need to identify themselves on the platform (powered by Stripe) by providing their ID and other personal information.

Shipping: Tracked and 100% Insured

Every order you place on KnifeMarket is shipped with a tracked shipping label and insured for the total order value.

If your package is lost, not delivered, damaged, or appears tampered with, you are not left to resolve it alone. KnifeMarket can review the case, collect the relevant information, and work with the shipping provider if a courier investigation or insurance claim is needed.

Returns & Disputes Protection

Buyers have 5 calendar days after delivery to report an issue with their order.

This gives you time to inspect the item before the Seller’s payout is released. If the item is defective, damaged, misrepresented, wrong, or if something serious happened during delivery, KnifeMarket can review the case and help protect your payment.

Some Sellers also allow no-questions-asked returns, giving you extra peace of mind if you change your mind after receiving the item.

We have a very strict policy for fraudulent sellers. We will suspend and ban sellers from KnifeMarket if we suspect foul play.
