KnifeMarket Buyer Protection - What's Included

 

Payment via the Escrow Service

With the KnifeMarket Escrow Service, you can be assured that your payment is fully protected. Your money will be held in our escrow account for 7 days following the delivery of your knife. This gives you enough time to thoroughly examine your order (5 days, see Return policy), while having the peace of mind that your funds are secure with us. After this period, we will release the payout to the seller.

Proof of Ownership

We check both sellers and listings for authenticity.

Listings: Every time a new listing is posted, we ask the seller to send us a photo of their knife, next to the randomly generated code they receive from us. This assures us that the seller has the knife in their possession, which gives you the assurance that the knife you intend to purchase will be delivered to you as expected.

Sellers: New listings are immediately posted on KnifeMarket. But before they can be purchased, sellers need to identify on the platform (powered by Stripe) by providing their ID and other personal information.

Shipping: Tracked and 100% Insured

To ensure that every order placed on KnifeMarket is trackable and 100% insured for the total order value (shipping costs included), we provide shipping labels to sellers. In the rare case of unsuccessful delivery, your shipment is fully insured, so you can make both domestic and international purchases risk-free.

5-day Return Policy

You have 5 days upon delivery to initiate a return and receive your money back. Contact us at returns@knife-market.com and we will guide you through the process.

There are 2 types of return policies at KnifeMarket:

  1. KnifeMarket Return Policy - covers scenarios if the knife is defective or not according to the seller's description/photos. The seller covers the return shipping costs and you receive a full refund, shipping cost included.
  2. Sellers' Return Policy - covers "no-questions-asked" returns. It is the seller's domain to choose if they allow it or not. In case you want to return the item, the buyer covers return shipping costs, and then receives a full refund of the bought item, minus the initial shipping cost.

We have a very strict policy for fraudulent sellers. We will suspend and ban sellers from KnifeMarket if we suspect foul play.
