Product description

Vintage CASE XX 61011 Hawkbill / Pruner Knife – Early Postwar Era (1947–1955) – Excellent Condition

Based on the tang stamp, bone jigging style, and construction features, this example is from the late 1940s to early/mid-1950s.

This is a very clean example of a pattern that was commonly used hard in the field, making well-preserved pieces like this increasingly difficult to find.

Features
Pattern: 61011 (one-blade Hawkbill / Pruner)
Handles: Genuine jigged bone, early-postwar style with deep, irregular jigging
Tang Stamp: “CASE XX” (no USA), used 1940–1964
Construction: Nickel silver bolsters, brass liners & pins
Blade: Full profile with original factory geometry

Condition:
Blade has NOT been sharpened – retains its original shape and cutting edge
No side-to-side wobble – pivot is tight and solid
Strong overall condition for age
Bone handles show no cracks or chips
Excellent snap
Only minimal age-typical carbon spotting on the blade
Bolsters are clean with no dents

This is a highly collectible early Case XX pruner with beautiful bone and a blade that is far better preserved than most examples of this pattern.

A great addition for any Case collector, especially those seeking pre-1960s work patterns in above-average condition.
