Product description
Rare Yoshikazu Ikeda Mizu Honyaki forged from White #1 steel. This is the taller, workhorse-profile 240mm gyuto with excellent food release and substantial blade presence while maintaining the cutting feel and refinement expected from Ikeda-san’s honyaki work.
The hamon is exceptionally active and prominent, with outstanding contrast throughout the blade. Never used, never sharpened, and in excellent condition.
A difficult configuration to find, especially in the tall/workhorse grind. Excellent opportunity for collectors and users seeking a top-tier honyaki from one of Sakai’s most respected smiths.
Sharpener is Hideki Ino.
Selling price is $1950 Shipped.
