Product description
Horus is familiar to Egyptologists as the hawk-headed god, lord of the sky. As Canyon Lake, Texas, knifemaker Allen Elishewitz developed this design, similar in many ways to his larger custom Creedmore, we saw an aggressive hawk-like character in its crisp edges, facets and choils, hence the Horus™ name. It reminds us of an F-117 stealth fighter, too. This is much more than an Elishewitz design statement, even though it is a piece that grabs your attention immediately. It's a very functional every day carry with the patented features that have made CRKT folders so popular, including OutBurst™ assisted opening and the LAWKS® safety. The Horus frame features an unusual choiled pistol-grip curve. The stainless steel InterFrame build has one locking liner and sculpted black textured glass filled nylon scales. The wild honey gold variegated inlays are the latest CPL composite and injection molding makes each one unique. The blade is AUS 8 premium stainless steel in a bead-blast finish. We call it an "Elishewitz stealth grind" because it is composed almost entirely of flat angular facets. The result is a very strong blade with a strong central spine which extends very near to the tip.
