Product description
I found these in a cupboard when clearing out to downsize. They belonged to an ex of mine who was very keen on Japanese cookery, I'd completely forgotten about them. It's a set of three in the original box - the box is very battered but the knives are fine - a large knife, small knife and neat little hatchet for fish heads. I don't know the make as the box is all written in Japanese. They appear to have been coated originally and the coating has worn away. However, the blades are very smooth to the touch in spite of some staining. Clearly, I don't know anything about the various aspects like type of steel, etc., but I am sure someone will be able to read the script on the box and work it out. Any information you can send me, by the way, will be gratefully received.
Long knife - 347mm (blade 217mm) - weight 86g
Hatchet - 298mm (blade 173mm) weight 120g
Small knife - 208mm (blade 105mm) weight 57g
Please note that these items were weighed on a kitchen scales. I should add that I tried selling these on eBay as they didn't seem to fit any description of the forbidden items, however they were delisted a few hours before completing the sale. I had already been offered £63 by that stage, so that is how I have chosen my price. Please feel free to make an offer.
