Product description
I purchased a blade from knife maker supplies off of Etsy. It is made of elmax steel. Elmax steel is a powdered metal that is stainless and hold its edge very long. The blade is light nimble and very well made it has a flat grind and is hair whittling sharp. I made both the handle and Saya just for this knife. The wood is Padauk and the ferule is gray linen Micarta. Padauk wood is absolutely amazing. The chatoyance is such that it almost looks like the wood glows when it catches the light. It is some of the most unique wood I have ever worked with. The blade height is 49 millimeters. The blade thickness starting out is 2.5 mm then midway it's 2 mm and 1 cm from the tip it is .7 millimeters. The handle is 138 millimeters long the overall length is 342 millimeters. The blade was made by maker material supply in Istanbul Turkey.
