Product description
Up for sale is a Katsushige Anryu 150mm petty. Damascus and Kurouchi (black) finish.
Anryu-San layers soft iron to make the damascus pattern and the forge welds it to the Shirogami core. It gives the knife a beautiful suminagashi pattern on the bevels.
This is OLD STOCK, signed by Katsushige Anryu. (See photo) It is most likely from the last couple years when Anryu-san was still fairly active in the workshop. At that time, he was working with Takumi Ikeda. Once Anryu-san retired, Ikeda took over. And the signature on the knife changed. This knife has Katsushige Anryu's original signature.
