8in OAL brut-de-forge drop point knife forged in Illinois, USA, from a standard "MC" railroad spike, with the handle wrapped in jute twine that has had the hairs singed off and been treated with wax-based waterproofing agent. Sharpened, but due to the low carbon content of railroad spikes, this knife is a novelty or letter opener, rather than a fully-functional blade.
