Product description
You are viewing the excellent Dirk Pinkerton-designed B'yond Garra Talon EDC Plain Edge Folding Knife. The tip of the claw is oriented in the center line of the knife rather than angling down like a traditional hawkbill, providing all the benefit of a curved blade but with the superior penetration of the acute tip. This blade orientation is second to none in enabling a variety of effective techniques.
The blade is made from VG-10 steel and features an "opening fuller". This fuller can be used like a conventional thumb stud or opening hole and works well with the off side middle finger flick. I find it simpler to flick it with my thumbnail, it opens wickedly fast riding on ceramic bearings in the pivot for a very smooth opening. The handle is lightly textured micarta with some serious jimping in key spots for increased grip. It has an ambidextrous tip up, deep carry pocket clip.
The quality of this knife far exceeds the retail price, let alone my discounted price. Comes with original box, nylon pouch and insert. This knife makes for a terrific everyday carry companion.
