Munetoshi Kurouchi 170mm Wa Butcher
from JNS, upgraded with walnut handle and custom magnetic knife sheath.
Another great blacksmith from Sanjo, Niigata, third generation, Munetoshi is all made by 70 year old Kouiti Turumaki. Turumaki is 3rd generation bladesmith, learning everything from his father, and has been blacksmith for 52 years. He specializes in white steel and making primarily axes, nata and heavy duty blades. All of his knives are water quenched and finish is rough and rustic. Super easy to sharpen and gets amazing edge with White steel, that is relatively resistant to rust.
Wa Butcher knife was made and styled by JNS Japanese Natural Stones v/Maksim Enevoldsen (JNS).
