Product description
The Spyderco Manix2 XL (C95GP2) is a big, tough folder built right here in the USA. It has an approximate 3.5-inch CPM-S30V satin-finished blade with a full-flat grind, paired with grippy black G-10 handle scales over skeletonized stainless steel liners. The blade flicks open easily using Spyderco’s signature round hole and locks up solid with the Ball Bearing Lock, so it’s smooth and secure even when you’re working hard with it.
Open, it stretches out to about 8.9 inches (227 mm), and folds down to about 5.0 inches (129 mm) for pocket carry. The spine is about 0.125 in (3.2 mm) thick, which gives it strength without making it feel like a brick. The cutting edge runs about 3.5 inches (89 mm), and the 5.10-inch (130 mm) handle offers plenty of room for a solid grip—even for bigger hands. For its size, it’s well-balanced and fairly light at around 5.2 ounces (147 g).
Built to take a beating, the textured G-10 scales give good traction, and the steel liners keep everything solid. You also get an ambidextrous tip-up pocket clip, a large lanyard hole, and jimping along the spine and thumb ramp for extra control when cutting.
