Product description
This antique fruit knife has COIN. inscribed on the blade indicating it is coin silver. It has a spear point blade with a nut or seed pick It has obvious damage to the blades from use over the years Someone obviously put this beauty to purpose. It has a beautiful ornate design and I could not find one like it posted anywhere on the internet
It has 2 dents to the outside handle area. One on each side. The main blade has some wear and the nut/seed pick is slightly hard to open due to the nail nick being shallow The spring on the main blade seems just a tad loose, however, it closes just fine
I have included a picture of the etching in the designated area on the handle I'm not sure if it is related to the manufacturer or if it was personalized.
It could use a good cleaning and polishing but would be a great addition to someone's collection as it seems to be to be "hard to find". I have reduced the price to compensate for obvious damage. The knife could be near 200 years old since these were made in the 1800-1840's
