I’m selling my brand new Yu Kurosaki Raijin Oak Turquoise Bunka 16.5 cm. This Japanese knife is a stunner and a fantastic addition to any kitchen or collection. It’s brand new and has never been used. The handle is equally stunning, crafted from oak and accented with a beautiful blue turquoise stone. The handle is also waxed, and the blade is razor-sharp right out of the box.
The Raijin Bunka is a special series because it features Cobalt Special steel, a high-end material used by only a few blacksmiths. Yu Kurosaki is one of the master craftsmen who work with this steel, which is known for its extreme hardness and long-lasting edge retention. This means you’ll rarely need to sharpen it.
One of the most striking features of this knife is its beautiful and special hammer-finished pattern, resembling lightning strikes across the blade. The finish is also incredibly refined, coming very close to a mirror finish, enhancing both its aesthetic appeal and smooth cutting performance. The blade also has a gradual taper, providing excellent balance and precision.
Yu Kurosaki is renowned for making excellent knives with beautiful designs, and this one is no exception. It’s a handmade piece that showcases the incredible skill and dedication of its maker.
This knife is very rare and almost always out of stock due to its limited production. Retail prices often go above 350 dollars, but I’m selling it at a discount because it has a laser engraving (check the pictures for details). Despite this, the knife is in perfect, unused condition.
