Product description
The CRKT Ed Van Hoy Snap Lock Folding Knife is a unique everyday carry (EDC) pocket knife with an innovative side-opening mechanism. It features a sharp 2.55-inch 420J2 stainless steel blade with a bead blast finish and plain edge, designed for light cutting tasks. The blade swings 180° (or 360° without the clip) and locks securely via the patented Snap Lock mechanism, which uses a wishbone-shaped stainless steel handle as a spring to hold the blade in place. To open, press the thumb wheel and rotate the blade outward; to close, press the lever to disengage and swing it back, ensuring the blade edge is fully guarded when closed. Lightweight at 2.5 ounces, it includes a reversible money clip for pocket or neck carry via a quick-release lanyard. Known for its award-winning design (Most Innovative Knife at the 2004 Blade Show), it’s more of a collectible or novelty due to a learning curve for one-handed operation.
