Product description
Steel: Aogami #2, Soft Iron Clad
Handle: Teak with buffalo horn ferrule
Edge Length: 245mm
Blade Height: 55mm
Weight: 211g
Great cutter in the Sanjo style with a gradual taper from the handle and gets incredibly thin toward the tip. The edge profile features a flat spot at the heel that transitions with a gentle curve. Excellent for push cutting. The blade has a high, consistent, even grind on both sides that’s near flat, or ever so slightly concave with a defined shinogi line. Behind the edge thickness is nail-flexing thin. The blade has a polished, brushed finish which is ease to care for. There is a quick and dirty kasumi finish that is decent. Fit and finish is excellent with nice rounding of the spine and choil. Comes with saya. Sharp out of the box and never sharpened or stropped.
