Product description

Sakai Genkichi (Daikichi Co., Ltd.) – 180mm Deba

Authentic Sakai Genkichi Deba knife, made in Sakai City, Osaka, Japan.

The knife is brand new, unused, and has never been sharpened. It has been carefully stored in its original Sakai box. The original box is included.

This is a traditional single bevel Deba knife designed for right-handed users. Deba knives are most commonly used for fish preparation – filleting and working with small bones.

The knife has a beautiful Akebono-nuri lacquered wooden handle, which gives it a classic look and helps protect the wood from moisture.

Condition (please read carefully):

The blade has a traditional kasumi finish with visible grinding lines, which is normal for hand-finished carbon steel knives.

Please carefully review the last three photos. There are a few very minor cosmetic surface marks that may have occurred during manufacturing or storage. They do not affect the use, sharpening, or durability of the knife.

The lacquered handle is smooth and shiny. Under certain lighting angles, very small dots or barely noticeable lines may be visible in the lacquer texture. This is characteristic of traditional lacquering and does not affect the construction or use of the knife.

All details are clearly visible in the photos. Please review them carefully before purchasing.
