Product description
Hiromune Takaba ~215mm suji/long petty. It’s has his Miyabi finish which is a Nickel-added iron laminate and is forged in-house. The pearlescent nature of the nickle in his finish is like nothing I’ve ever see before. It’s gorgeous. The core steel is white 1. The grind is really consistent (thin) and it has a nice taper. The handle on this one is also stunning. I don’t remember the exact wood (I’ll look around and find out) but it’s a two tone dark wood with a marbled horn that flows right into the Damascus finish. I saw someone else say that Takaba work is the true definition of a suminigashi finish (ink floating on water). I tend to agree. See for yourself.
