Product description
This Hatsukokoro Shinkiro 210mm gyuto in Aogami Super is made by Nihei, a former Yoshikane apprentice. Advertised as 210mm, but the edge is actually a hair over 220mm, bringing it closer to a Sakai style 240mm.
This is a seriously beautiful knife, with the smooth kurouchi and a pretty damascus showing on the bevels. Grind is midweight, but thin behind the edge, with a very sharp out-of-the-box edge.
This has been used for a handful of test cuts, after which it was oiled. Never sharpened or stropped. Comes in original box with all inserts.
