Matt Lesniewski (ML Knives) is a craftsman in New York state, known for his attention to detail and beautiful, unique designs, as well as his adherence to traditional methods and materials. Matt's most famous work is perhaps his mountain skinner model, as featured in the 2015 movie The Revenant.
I have carried this particular blade for EDC on and off for the last several years, and have used it primarily for cutting food and light wood carving. The blade has some light patina as a result. I have sharpened and stropped this knife myself. The blade has a convex grind and is sharp from heel to tip. This is an excellent heirloom quality piece for any outdoorsman or collector, as Matt drops limited small batches of knives. The sheath is hand-made and tooled with vinework by Matt himself, and has been signed on the back. His maker's mark (the ML logo) is stamped onto the right face of the blade. I am happy to provide additional information or photos upon request.
